Agreement to Terms

By accessing our website and purchasing a puppy from Dachshund Haven USA, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not proceed with a purchase.

Puppy Purchase Agreement

Application and Approval

All puppy adoptions require completion and approval of our application process. We reserve the right to refuse any application at our sole discretion. Approval does not guarantee availability of a specific puppy.

Deposits and Payments

• A non-refundable deposit of $500 is required to reserve a puppy
• The deposit will be applied toward the total purchase price
• Full payment is due before the puppy leaves our facility or is shipped
• We accept payment via bank transfer, certified check, or approved payment platforms
• All sales are final once full payment is received

Refund Policy

Deposits are non-refundable. However, if we are unable to provide you with a puppy due to circumstances within our control, your deposit will be refunded in full or applied to a future puppy of your choice.

Health Guarantee

We provide a 2-year genetic health guarantee for all puppies. This guarantee covers:

• Congenital and hereditary health conditions
• Conditions that substantially affect the puppy's quality of life

The health guarantee does NOT cover:

• Conditions resulting from injury, neglect, or improper care
• Parasites (worms, fleas, etc.)
• Viral or bacterial infections contracted after delivery
• Conditions related to diet or environmental factors
• Minor cosmetic issues that do not affect health

To maintain the health guarantee, you must take your puppy to a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of delivery for an initial health examination. Full terms are provided in our Health Guarantee document.

Buyer Responsibilities

As a puppy buyer, you agree to:

• Provide proper care, nutrition, and veterinary attention for your puppy
• Keep your puppy up to date on all vaccinations and preventative care
• Provide a safe, loving home environment
• Not resell, transfer, or surrender the puppy to a shelter or rescue without first contacting us
• Spay or neuter the puppy if sold on a pet-only contract (unless otherwise agreed in writing)
• Register the puppy with the AKC within 30 days of purchase (if applicable)
• Keep us informed of any address or contact information changes

Breeder Rights and Return Policy

If at any time you are unable to keep your puppy, you must contact us first. We reserve the right of first refusal and will work with you to find the best solution. Under no circumstances should the puppy be surrendered to a shelter, rescue, or third party without our knowledge and consent.

If you choose to return the puppy to us, no refund will be provided, but we will ensure the puppy is placed in an appropriate home.

Shipping and Delivery

We offer professional shipping services for your convenience. By choosing to have your puppy shipped, you agree to:

• Pay all shipping costs in addition to the puppy purchase price
• Be available to receive the puppy at the agreed-upon time and location
• Understand that weather or other unforeseen circumstances may delay shipping
• Accept that we are not responsible for delays caused by airlines or transport services

AKC Registration

All puppies are sold with AKC registration papers unless otherwise stated. Pet-only puppies are sold with limited AKC registration, which means they cannot be bred and their offspring cannot be registered. Breeding rights are available for an additional fee and must be agreed upon in writing before purchase.

Limitation of Liability

Our total liability for any claim related to the purchase of a puppy shall not exceed the purchase price paid for the puppy. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these terms or the purchase of a puppy shall be resolved through mediation or arbitration in accordance with the laws of [Your State]. Both parties agree to make a good faith effort to resolve disputes amicably before pursuing legal action.

Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. Your continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
